Our Story

Born from Love, Growing with Purpose

What started as a simple idea to help bees has grown into a mission connecting communities across continents.

The Discovery That Started It All

Sometimes the most profound missions begin with a single heartbreaking moment.

One day in 2024, while walking through her family's farmland in rural Thailand, Nate discovered something that changed everything.

Hanging from tree branches, completely exposed to the elements, were clusters of wild bees - hundreds, sometimes thousands of them clinging together in tight formations. They had no home.

These bee colonies had nowhere to go. No hollow tree, no protected cavity, no shelter from the scorching sun, the monsoon rains, or the predators that roam the jungle at night. They were homeless, vulnerable, and desperately trying to survive by using their own bodies as shelter for the queen and her brood.

For Nate, this wasn't just a scientific observation - it was a call to action. These bees needed homes, and she had the land to provide them.

From Heartbreak to Hope

Seeing these homeless bee colonies sparked an idea. What if Nate could provide safe, traditional bee houses across her 0.8 hectares (5 rai) of jungle farmland? What if this simple act of compassion could also create meaningful opportunities for others?

The solution was beautifully simple: craft small, adorable bees from pipe cleaners to sell through partner shops abroad. For every 10 sold, install one traditional bee house on the farm - giving a homeless colony a proper home.

No grand schemes, no complicated plans - just small, consistent steps toward giving these incredible creatures the shelter they desperately need.

Today, this grassroots initiative continues to grow, one handcrafted bee and one new home at a time.

Our Vision for the Future

We dream of a future where wild bees thrive across Thailand's jungles, rural families have sustainable livelihoods, and people everywhere feel connected to the vital work of conservation.

Expand the Sanctuary

Our goal is to gradually expand our bee conservation efforts across multiple hectares, creating a network of safe habitats for Thailand's diverse wild bee species.

Empower Local Families

We aim to employ family members from the local community to install and maintain bee houses, providing stable, meaningful work that connects people with nature.

Global Awareness

Through our handcrafted ambassadors sold in shops worldwide, we spread the message about bee conservation and inspire action in communities far from Thailand.

Our Journey So Far

Every great mission starts with a single step. Here's how ours has unfolded.

2024 - The Beginning

An Idea Takes Root

Observing declining bee populations on the family farm, the first bee houses were installed as an experiment. The results were encouraging - wild bees began to colonize the homes within months.

2024 - First Craft

The Little Ambassadors Are Born

The first batch of handcrafted pipe cleaner bees was created, each one made with care and purpose. These charming little creatures would carry our message across the world.

2024 - Partnership

First International Partner

A farm shop in Sweden agreed to sell our handcrafted bees, becoming our first international partner and opening doors to global awareness.

The Future

Growing Together

With every new partner shop and every bee house installed, we move closer to our vision of thriving bee populations and empowered rural communities.

Why Thailand's Jungle Bees?

While much attention focuses on European honey bees, Asia's wild bee species are equally vital and often overlooked in conservation efforts.

Unique Species

Thailand is home to several native bee species including the Asian honey bee (Apis cerana) and various stingless bee species. These bees have evolved perfectly adapted to local ecosystems.

Ecosystem Engineers

Wild jungle bees pollinate countless native plants, fruit trees, and crops. Without them, Thailand's rich biodiversity and agricultural heritage would suffer greatly.

Under Threat

Habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change threaten wild bee populations throughout Southeast Asia. Simple interventions like bee houses can make a real difference.

What We Believe

Small Acts Matter

We believe that small, consistent actions create meaningful change. One bee house, one handcrafted bee, one conversation at a time.

🌱

Community First

Conservation works best when it benefits local communities. We prioritize creating opportunities for rural Thai families.

Global Connection

Bees connect us all. From Sweden to Thailand, our shared love for these creatures bridges cultures and creates understanding.
